Halloween
I am ready. I have a costume.
It is not slutty (although totally shows off my super awesome pregnant boobs in a non-slutty way)
It is very Halloweeny
I won’t be too cold (because in my old age this actually factors into my costume selection)
It involves wearing a wig
And a hat
And I get to carry around a big prop all night
In other words, it is perfect.
My Halloween involves a...

– My colleague told me this is about the receptionist at a client I no longer work on.
When do you have to stop wearing high heels? Do you even own any flat shoes?
– My boss. My love of beautiful high heels is oviously well-noted in the workplace :-)

Amsterdam? Yes please!
Currently seeing if I can jam another client into my January schedule. Why would I want to be so accomodating, you ask? Because it involves a trip to Amsterdam. Bring it!
Unfortunately, it’s wishful thinking - I will be working and sleeping that month and not much else.

No more sleeps!
Tonight’s the night! We will rip open that card and find out whether we are having a son or daughter.
Friends and family, expect a text message tonight :-)
Lovely readers, tune in tomorrow morning for the announcement!
Are you kidding me?
Guy at client: You're not Debbie.
Me: No, I'm Georgina from [redacted company]. I'm just camping in her office while she's away this week.
Guy at client: Did they give you hand sanitizer?
Me: Why?
Guy at client: Debbie has swine flu. That's why she's not here.
Me: REALLY?
Guy at client: Yeah, they wiped everything down in her office but I would still be careful if I were you.

Rant
I am not at all happy this morning. I’m on a train to Harrisburg PA. It takes 3 hours 20 mins. There is no snack car and I did not buy tea before getting on the train. (Why is there no snack car on a 3 hour 20 min journey). I am facing backwards. (I do not enjoy facing backwards). The woman behind me is sick. And this is where I start to get angry. If you are sick STAY AT HOME. I am pregnant...

Vacation Reads
You guys really came through for me when I asked for book recommendations. Anyone who loves to read should check back to my original post and add some of these gems to their Amazon wishlist. After much hemming and hawing I finally put in my Amazon order for the following three books for my vacation. I probably won’t get through three books but I always need to bring three because the...

Oh no! My OB is really hot!
– I’m scanning through the various topics in the pregnancy chatroom I visit. This one made me snort. I would have to change OB if he was hot! All three of my OBs are awesome (if anyone needs an OB-GYN rec in NYC email me) but not hot - phew.
Attention attention - discount being offered!
Hey Kids, you know the super adorable scarf Miss Em blogged about yesterday? After drooling over them, I decided they need to make an appearance on Georgie Girl too?
Well, now you can get 15% off with coupon code Fall 15 until October 31. In fact, you can take 15% off anything on the pretty mommy website.
Em, you have no excuse now. You should buy one. Just sayin.

30 Rock classic quote of the day
Jack: Have you ever been to Florida? It's basically a criminal population. It's America's Australia.

What is the technician’s name? We can’t stand the suspense.
– John’s Dad feels the same way I do. The suspense of knowing whether Baby is a boy or a girl is killing us.

A day in which I learn technical IT terms
IT Helpdesk analyst: How may I help you today?
Me: I don't know if this is the technical term but I got the Blue Screen of Death twice in the last two days.
IT Helpdesk analyst: We usually just call it a Blue Screen but Blue Screen of Death is also an acceptable term.

About a month ago John was in the bath when I heard him shout. I ran in to see what the fuss was and apparently Winston had managed to jump in, landing right on top of a very surprised John. This is no mean feat - we have a very large bathtub so we have no idea how he managed to jump over the wall.
Today I lifted him in. He loves it. He spends his time swimming around (because his legs...

The votes are in!
It would appear that 56% of you think baby will be a girl and 44% think it will be a boy. Very interesting!
My Mum came up with the greatest girl name EVER today. John isn’t convinced. He thinks it is a dog’s name! So I took the opportunity to ask for a little fur-sister for Winston. He said no. Boo hiss!

Daily Work Outfit
I was late to work today because it took me so long to pull together an outfit. I knew I wanted to wear these tights and so had to create an outfit around them, that also fits my bump. Not an easy feat!
Banana Republic top
Esprit pencil skirt (only zipped up halfway - sshhhh!)
White Charlotte Russe cami underneath (holding the skirt together)
J Crew gold belt
Anthropologie gold necklace
...
The tights dilemma....solved
As much as I love the tights they are badly designed. The toe end is not fully closed in so my little toes poke through uncomfortably. The lack of material is resulting in little blisters forming on my toes.
So I popped across the road to Duane Reade and bought some Kushyfoot footcovers.
And voila - problem solved!
P.S.
I will post the results of the poll on Sunday night!

Maternity jeans
My Paige maternity jeans arrived and I love them! Although I will admit they are a touch too small so will be sending them back for a size 28. They are certainly more expensive than a lot of other brands but I know my CPW (cost per wear) will result in them actually being a bargain. I am an expert at justifying expensive purchases. Oh, and thanks to the lovely ladies of tumblr who posted the...
