Central Park Zoo
Now that we have made the decision to move out of the city, I am dying to get it all sorted out (we are currently in a holding pattern until our apartment sells). This weekend after posting about our weekly walks in Central Park I received the following comment from fellow blogger allatmyfingertips:
“How awesome would it be to walk through Central Park every weekend! I hope I can do that...

Weekly Walk
Every weekend we go for a long walk through Central Park during the off-leash hours, grabbing Starbucks along the way. We’re up at 7am every day so we may as well get out and make the most of our early mornings. This weekend Charlotte’s Grandad joined us.
It was already hot and humid by 8.30am. I guess Memorial Day weekend really is the beginning of the Summer.

Photoshoot
My cousin does photography professionally so when we dropped round on the weekend it was inevitable that there would be a photoshoot for Charlotte and her newest cousin Joni.
Have you any idea how difficult it is to get two babies smiling and looking at the camera at the same time? IMPOSSIBLE!!
There was a gang of people behind the camera trying their best to get the two babies smiling. ...
The beach
We went for a walk by the Irish Sea today.
Charlotte took her grandma for a walk. This is a baby girl on a mission to learn how to walk unassisted ASAP.

Dinner at 6pm at our favorite sushi restaurant (2 weeks in a row, I feel a routine coming on)
BYO peas and strawberries for Charlotte (who also mowed down on seaweed salad and miso soup!)
Notice that one pea went rogue and hopped into John’s beer
Home by 7pm

Do you like shoes?
How about wedges?
How about nude colored wedges?
Then I have a secret to share.
I saw a post on Cheap Chicas about a pair of shoes that they describe as the purr-fect wedge. The post is pretty damn convincing - gorgeous nude wedges that are super comfortable and less than $100. But I didn’t really need a pair of nude wedges so I clicked away.

Saturday in Pictures
Aisha was in town this weekend - yippee!
A picnic brunch in our backyard with some of my favorite people. (Our actual backyard, not Central Park).
A present from Auntie Jen. The kind of toy that says ‘quack-quack-quack-quack-quack’ all day long. Oh Jen, wait until you have kids and I can repay your kindness ;-)
This is a fun Saturday afternoon, right here.
Sushi Friday
When someone says ‘baby food’ what is the first thing that comes to mind? SUSHI!! I know, it’s so obvious. Or maybe not. But we decided it was time to at least introduce Charlotte to the concept of sushi.
On Friday evening we went out for an early dinner at our old favorite, Sushi Damo. We tried to feed Charlotte some rice, avocado and cooked crab (no raw stuff) but she...

Winston & Charlotte
People often ask me how Winston and Charlotte are with each other.
Well, they are the best of friends. I’m so happy that Charlotte gets to grow up with such a lovable dog by her side.
Our Favorite Recipes
For my birthday last year my wonderful friends pulled together a recipe book full of their favorite recipes (they used the website Tastebook). I cannot even describe how much I love this gift!

Weekend Recap
This weekend we kept it simple. Home cooked meals and a lot of time spent in our backyard (Central Park).
