The Beach
I’ve lived in New York City for almost 5 years and I’ve been to the beach less than 5 times. And I love the beach. Now that we have a car there are no excuses. So on Sunday we picked up our friends Danny and Lauren and headed out to Long Beach for the day.

Saturday bike ride
It was a gorgeous day on Saturday so John suggested that I dust off my bike (I haven’t ridden it in 2 years, oops) and go for a bike ride. Charlotte’s first bike ride! We headed over to a rental store to get a bike for John and a helmet for Charlotte.

The Catskills Part II
I finally uploaded my photos from our weekend in The Catskills, a pretty mountainous area about 2 hours north of the city.
We played in the cubby-house.
I stole a lot of baby-cuddles.
We did some damage in a local Walmart. The damage included the greatest bubble blowing thingy ever. I’m really not sure which one of our babies loved it more - the fur-baby or the human-baby.

Teddy Bears
Charlotte really loves her teddy bears. You know what’s awesome about having a child that can’t yet speak? You get to name all of their teddies! My favorites are Strawberry, Vegas, Honey, and Wordsworth. She has at least 10 more teddies that need names. Who has suggestions?!!

The Catskills Part 1
I was sitting at my desk on Wednesday afternoon thinking about our non-existent weekend plans. I shot off a few emails to house-owners in the Catskills using VRBO to see if I could get a last minute bargain deal on a house for the weekend. And BAM we hit the road late Thursday afternoon to get out of the city.
