Tumblarity

My blog is hosted by tumblr.  So far I haven’t had much reason to dislike it.  However, they have introduced this thing called tumblarity which is basically a popularity contest for all the people who have blogs hosted by tumblr.

I personally think it is a cheap ploy to incentivize people (who care about such idiotic things) to post more.  Methinks Tumlbr is trying to make their stats look better for their investors.  Anyway, it’s complete rubbish and pointless and from what I read on my dashboard it seems like other bloggers agree with this point of view.
