Most restaurants in NYC do not have high chairs. I’m sure many of them do not have high chairs because they don’t want children in their restaurants (can understand that in some cases) but I’m also sure that others do not have high chairs because they simply don’t have room for them. This is New York after all, where you very likely have about 2 inches between your table and the one next to you.
Anyway, what’s a mom to do? Especially when you are craving burritos for lunch from the restaurant with barely enough room to swing a cat. Bring your own high chair, of course! Luckily, we have a sweet natured child who seems to like eating out as much as we do and chomped down on her chips and guacamole followed by bites from my chicken burrito.
