Cooking class
On Saturday Jen and I went to a cooking class. It was my birthday present from Jen. We learned to cook a bunch of Tuscan food. And I would tell you the exact menu but that would mean getting up off my couch and fetching the menu from the kitchen counter. That’s at least 10 steps away. And it’s Monday night and I’m tired and I’m work-stressed and I just want to sit here and tap out a blog post as quickly as I can so that I can retire to bed with my kindle. So……
We learned how to make an amazing chick pea and farro salad that I made again tonight and for the first time in my life I strayed slightly from the official recipe and added other stuff in that I thought would work and BAM I think I have officially turned into a person who can cook. We also learned to cook this lemon chicken thing. I know - this is such an enlightening blog post. Also, the best part - we learned how to make beet and potato gnocchi. It’s so easy. I promise to post the recipe when I make it next weekend.
And that was my Saturday. Cooking and gossiping. Oh, and then we went to J Crew and tried on about a million pairs of shoes. And then we went to Williams Sonoma looking for a potato ricer and pointed out all the things we wanted to buy.
OK, I give up. Here are some photos.
