Weekend Recap: Cooking Lesson #1

My birthday cooking lessons started on the weekend.

Now, this is not meant to be a competition between my friends but let me just say that Jen is off to a very strong start.  She taught me how to cook an Asian Beef Noodle dish.  ZOMG IT IS SO TASTY.  Both John and I loved this meal and we both ate seconds.  And then I cooked it by myself the very next night and John had third helpings - I think that is proof that I did Jen’s recipe justice.

I’ve never cooked red meat in my entire life.  This is not as odd as it may seem - I was vegetarian for 10 years before I moved to New York.  Now I know how to cook a steak.  I feel so accomplished!

I’m so pleased that I came up with this idea of cooking lessons for my birthday present this year.  Thanks to my friends, once Charlotte starts eating proper food (will she ever master solid food?!) she’s going to think her Mum is a great cook.
