My Starbucks Name

If you have been reading my blog for a while then you may remember  my decision to use Kate  as my Easy-To-Say-And-Spell-Name for things like Starbucks orders.  At the restaurant last night I had to provide a name for the list.

Waiter: Name please?

Me: Kate (turns and grins at John like I’m being so funny)

Waiter: Kite?

Me: No, Kate.

Waiter: How do you spell that?

Me: K.A.T.E.

Waiter: Oh, I thought you were saying Kite.

Me: That’s because of my accent (feeling completely deflated and not at all funny anymore)

So I need to find a new name that is apparently not only easy to say and spell, but easy for Americans to understand when said with an Australian accent.  Any suggestions?
