Winston is not allowed to lick / bite / nibble on his sutures for the next week.  I either have to watch him like a hawke or put this cone on his head.
My dog is not a wuss.  He isn’t scared of anything.
Except cones.
So being the sucker that I am, I let him sleep in bed with me snuggled under my arm rather than in his crate with the cone on.  It meant that I got next to no sleep because every time he moved I woke up to make sure he wasn’t licking.
At 6am enough was enough.  I put the cone on his head.  He didn’t move a muscle and looked at me with the whites of his eyes showing.  I told him to man up.  (Without his balls).
Later in the morning I got him up and he just stood still with his head pointing at the ground.  I guess the cone screws with his balance so he doesn’t feel comfortable walking.
