Stitch Fix

Oh hi.

I feel like I’ve been MIA in blog-land. I guess I got sucked into that annoying thing called real life and couldn’t find my way out. But I’m back and hoping to post a bit more over the weekend.

Let’s start with Stitch Fix.

What’s that, you ask? Oh just you wait.

Anyway. Moving on to far more fun things. Like buying new clothes. Bonus points. And getting packages from my doorman. Double bonus points. I’ve been known to do a happy dance when he tells me he has packages for me.

So I came across a new-ish company called Stitch Fix. You sign up for their service, fill out their survey giving them lots of information about what styles you like, your various clothing sizes, what your closet needs/wants are, your price range (v. important!) and then they get to picking out fun new clothes for you.

You pay them $20 upfront and then they send you a package with 5 items in it. You get to try it all on without the rush of being in a store fitting room and if you don’t like any of it you can send it back (free shipping). But if you do like something then you keep it and the $20 you paid upfront goes towards the cost of whatever you keep. It’s free shipping both ways so the most you will be out of pocket will be $20 if you decide not to keep anything.

I’ve been getting a package of stuff once a month for the last 3 months and OH MY GOD I love it so much. I rip open the package with glee but then very slowly go through each item to savor the enjoyment factor! Without fail, the Stitch Fix stylists get it right. They send stuff that I would never have picked myself that I may still look at dubiously but as soon as I have it on I’m all wowza me likey and as a result I’ve kept/bought at least one item from each package they’ve sent me.

I love the attention to detail. Most items come with a small card attached with two example styling options. This is the card that came attached to the poncho I kept (even though I had already bought a poncho a couple of weeks before I still could not resist keeping this one).

And on the back is further description about the product and styling tips.

I have been telling EVERYONE about Stitch Fix.

And now I’ve finally gotten my act together and am telling you, and you, and you about it.

So sign up now. If you’re anything like me you’ll be doing a happy dance every time your Stitch Fix arrives.
