Thank you
After a few months of slowly backing away from an online presence, almost to the point of shutting down my blog entirely (it was hanging by a thread for a little while), I was reminded this week of one of the main reasons that I blog.
The amazing people that I have met.
- Today I’m having lunch with a good friend who I met through my blog
- On Sunday I am going to one of my bestie’s birthday brunch - I met her through my blog
- Next Friday I’m having lunch with someone who I refer to as an old friend - I met her through my blog
- Next Sunday evening I’m attending a blogger Fall get together
- And I’m already looking at flights to get me to Chicago for a friend’s baby shower - yep, you guessed it, met her through my blog
And these are just the friends I’ve managed to meet face-to-face. There are many others who I exchange emails with on a regular basis. Eventually we will be in the same city and when we meet up for a drink, I know we will pick up the conversation as if we just had coffee last week.
So I wanted to say thank you and send big hugs to you, and you, and you. You make this whole blogging thing worthwhile.
And also a major thank you to the group of women who have been supporting each other throughout a week of turmoil in which we lost a very special person. You guys really brought home how fortunate I am to be a part of this community.
Now then.
Back to regular programming. Not sure if you heard but I had a baby almost 7 months ago…….
