Today I picked up my new passport from the Australian Embassy. While I waited for them to find it, I flicked through my old passport. So many stamps, so many memories.
And now I have a brand new passport that is completely blank. What adventures will we have over the next 10 years that will fill this passport with stamps….
First stop: Cape Town, South Africa for the wedding of our good friends, Marc and Katy. I have mixed emotions about this upcoming trip. Excited to see a country that I have been dying to visit for so long, apprehensive about flying for so many hours with a baby, nervous about spending time in a city that has a reputation for being somewhat dangerous, and grateful for having good friends to show us round.
An adventure, to be sure.
