Reblogged for all my book reading friends out there. I’m struggling to get into the book I’m currently reading so plan to download this one tonight (after I watch the first episode of Downton Abbey because I’m seriously late to the game on that).
heylaney:

There are a few things I know for sure (I must start my day with coffee and end it with chocolate; I would—quite literally—do anything for my son) and one of those things is that when Joy recommends something, we should all listen.
In addition to Divergent and Downton Abbey, amongst others, she recently recommended that book up there and oh, that book up there.
Just go to Amazon right now (or, you know, your local book store!) and buy it.
Yes, it’s technically about two kids with cancer. Yes, you will probably cry.
But it is in no way a weepy, overwrought book version of A Walk to Remember. Not even close.
It’s funny and poignant and smart and wonderful. [Note to Mom & JSL: Yes, I will let you borrow it.] [But I want it back.]
I can’t think of a better way to spend some time than in the company of Augustus Waters and Hazel Grace. Trust me, you’ll want get to know them too.
