Working from Home

I recently lost my cubicle at work because I don’t spend enough time there. Understandable but still……(not a happy camper about it). As a result I will probably work from home more often.

I remember hearing a story about a colleague who would wave bye to his kids at the front door and then sneak around the back of the house and into his home office. If the kids knew he was home during the day, they wouldn’t leave him alone so he had to be sneaky in order to actually get any work done.

At the time the story made me laugh.

I’m now wishing for a sneaky back entrance to my home office (aka tiny desk squished into the corner of the bedroom). Charlotte gets smarter by the day. Obviously she knows how to open doors but now she knows how to unlock them. Every so often, she manages to get away from her nanny (see last post - a lot of work!), unlocks the door and bounds down the hallway into the bedroom saying hi! with a big grin on her face. Extremely cute as long as I’m not on a conference call!
