An Irish grandmother, an Australian mother and an American daughter/granddaughter
I was chatting with my friends on the weekend about my thoughts on having a girl. I told them that I’m excited to walk down the street with my mother and my daughter. Three generations of women and I’m now in the middle rather than at the bottom. It makes me smile to imagine it.
A friend (Julie S in Florida – I’m looking at you!) also commented either on my blog or Facebook that having a girl meant I would always have a best friend. What a lovely thought. It’s certainly the way I feel about my own Mum.
