As I waited for my suitcase at the baggage carousel at Dublin Airport this morning, I pondered the meaning of this advertisement for a few seconds.  Why one earth is Thierry unwelcome in Ireland?

And then it hit me.  Ireland recently played France in the final round of the Football World Cup qualifiers.  Whoever won the game would progress to the Football World Cup in South Africa next year.  Whoever lost the game was out.  France ended up winning but only because one of their players, Thierry Henry, handballed the ball to a team-mate who then scored.  Cheaters!
