A Day in Dublin

This morning we headed into Dublin on the train.  Mum suggested I bring some reading material but I knew I would be happy to gaze out the window.  The view is a little better than the view on the NY subway.  Check out that sunshine.  The weather forecast tells me to expect sunshine for my entire trip!  Who says it rains in Ireland all the time?

We arrived into Dublin and headed straight for Grafton Street and wandered in and out of shops as we made our way along.  I hemmed and hawed over a pair of boots in Marks & Spencer but eventually decided against them. (That’s me being financially responsible again).  Grafton St was fairly busy with last minute Christmas shoppers.

Since arriving in Ireland I have been badgering Mum to teach me to knit again.  She taught me to knit when I was a child but it’s been years since I picked up a pair of knitting needles so I have forgotten how to do it.  We stopped into a knitting store where I bought all the bits and pieces for two projects - fingerless gloves and a baby cardigan.  I loved all the color in the store.

We had a yummy lunch and were so stuffed that we could only look at the cupcakes on display.  There was no way we could fit another morsel in.
