John had his surgery yesterday. It took longer than expected because the break was worse than the x-ray showed. Additional time, additional pins, and a longer plate were required to pull it all together. He has to wear a sling and not move his shoulder for six weeks. SIX. WEEKS. But surgery is done and he’s now on the road to recovery. The big question has yet to be answered - will he continue playing hockey?!
