Naughty Baby

I just got back from my latest OB appointment.  Four weeks ago Charlotte was sideways.  I didn’t even know babies could fit in there sideways.  Two weeks ago she had successfully turned head down.  High five to Charlotte!  Based on the state of my bladder I assumed that she had officially ‘dropped’ about a week ago i.e. really dug her head into my pelvic thingy-majiggy.  Turns out I’m wrong.

The little bugger is sideways again.  Not breech.  SIDEWAYS!

If she is still sideways next week they want me to go into hospital to have a high-risk OB physically turn her. They do it in hospital because turning sometimes causes you to immediately go into labor. So cross fingers (and hold thumbs - the South African version of crossing fingers) she turns head down again over the next week.

My OB has encouraged me to try out all the old wives tales this week in an effort to get Charlotte turning on her own.  It could be an interesting week!

Oh, and I’m tracking 4 days early.  She’s going to be a March baby, I just know it…
