Thanks go to Melissa of forever-insatiable for telling me where to find an Obama tshirt on my way home last night.  I stopped by Urban Outfitters on the Upper West Side.  They have really cool stuff in there and so I had to restrain myself from buying anything else.  I liked Melissa’s post below and if you can bear it you should click on the link for the Couric/Palin interview.  I watched it a few days ago and it has me terrified that this woman could be our VP in January.  McCain I can take but not Palin.  That’s it from me for now on politics.  Let’s start focusing on the more important things.  Me.

I know I’m behind the times, but I tried to behave myself at my new job this week. I just watched the Couric/Palin interview, and I am appalled. Sarah Palin is an idiot, and it would be a disgrace to have her sit as second in command for our country. I can’t stand anything about her. You can’t be good at international relations when you’ve only had a passport for one year. You can’t bring back notes to Katie Couric after an interview in front of millions of viewers. You can’t preach abstinence to an entire country when your own advice clearly didn’t work on your own flesh and blood. You shouldn’t exploit your trashy family and your Down Syndrome baby (which most likely isn’t yours anyway). You can’t blame people who lost their houses on anything but this shitty economy and lack of decent jobs. You also can’t change the way your voice sounds, which is a shame.

My dad is a staunch Republican, and he’s even admitted to hating the McCain/Palin campaign. Since he won’t vote for Obama, he said he may not vote at all. He’d rather be a nonvoter than vote for McCain. To me, that says a lot.
