I am being advised of my bonus and pay-rise at 6.20pm today.  Last year I went straight out and bought myself a Kenneth Cole leather jacket as a present-to-myself and jammed the rest into savings.  I’m pretty sure there will be no present-to-myself buying this year.

Damn you, economy.

I suppose I should be thankful to have a job.  I read in a newspaper this morning that the number of ex-pat Aussies returning home from New York and London looking for jobs in finance is up 27% this month.
