In South Africa, the word ‘now’ has many meanings.  I received a lesson from Miss B.

• ‘Now’ is now
• ‘Just now’ is soon, but not right now
• ‘Now now’ is perhaps one day. Varying degrees of likelihood that what you’re asking for will ever get done.
